Angela is the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management at PenFed Credit Union. Since joining PenFed in 2011, Angela has established an ERM department responsible for developing risk strategies, policies, and procedures and providing risk advisory services to the board, executive and senior management. In her role, Angela is responsible for the identification, measurement, analysis, and treatment of key risks, within PenFed’s risk appetite parameters, across a wide range of categories. In addition to ERM, Angela directly manages PenFed’s business continuity, third party, fraud, anti-money laundering, and physical security programs.
Prior to joining PenFed, Angela was the leader of Deloitte’s ERM Center of Excellence in Dubai, responsible for ERM engagements across the Middle East and North Africa. In addition to consulting dozens of clients, Angela spent considerable time developing risk programs, governance models, and other thought leadership, as well as speaking and publishing on current ERM topics. Prior to joining Deloitte, Angela held risk positions at Forest City Enterprises and General Electric. She has worked extensively in the U.K., Japan, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Australia, and throughout the Middle East.
Angela is currently pursuing an Executive MBA from Georgetown University, and holds a BBA from the University of Kentucky with concentrations in Finance and Marketing and a distinction of Summa cum Laude. She is currently on the board of the National Defense University Foundation and serves as an advisor to two major, multi-million dollar economic development projects in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
